Worship Contest for 2008
Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.
(Psalm 33:3)
The theme this year is a song, in English, of the works or character of God. It can be written to Him or about Him. Last year I was so surprised to see two families that wrote a song as a family project. If we have at least 3 families that submit a song, I'll make a special section just for families.

The age categories are age 17 and younger, 18 and older or a family with parents and kids of any age. If you submit a family song can you still submit individual songs? Yes.
You may submit one song per individual plus one song per family.
Deadline for the songs is November 1st. Voting will begin a week later. Songs need to be in an mp3 format.
Three First place winners can choose from the following 2 options:
1. Receive a Guitar, Case, Tuner and a set of the first three
volumes of Jean Welles Worship Guitar Class(TM) DVD’s.
2. Receive a set of all 4 volumes of Jean Welles Worship Guitar Class(TM) DVD’s, a web cam and an hour web cam guitar lesson.
There is no 'best' song. God is pleased with every worshipping heart. He is the One who rewards us beyond what man can give. We are told to encourage each other in our faith and I pray that writing and sharing these songs will be a wonderful blessing to all who participate and listen.
The entry forms should be at this URL in the next few days. Meanwhile, start writing your songs now. If you need some ideas, I've written at post at the blog on How To Write a Worship Song.
